The public estate of Son Real<\/strong>, located on the northern coast of Mallorca between Can Picafort<\/strong><\/a> y Son Serra de Marina<\/strong><\/a>is a true natural and archaeological treasure. This extensive protected area, which combines landscapes of pine forests, dunes, rural roads and coastal areas, is an ideal place for lovers of history and nature, offering multiple routes for walking or cycling. <\/p>\n

One of the main attractions of Son Real<\/strong> is its Necropolis<\/strong>, a unique archaeological site in the Mediterranean. This Talayotic necropolis, located by the sea, houses numerous tombs carved into the rock, believed to belong to members of the elite of the time. Its location by the sea highlights the symbolic link of the burial sites with the ocean. Near the coast is the Illa des Porros<\/strong>, an islet where similar burial remains have been found, underlining the funerary importance of this area in prehistoric times. <\/p>\n

The interior of the estate houses other historical vestiges of great relevance, such as the Son Real quarries<\/strong>, from which sandstone was extracted for the island’s constructions, andTalayotic<\/strong> caves<\/strong>, which were used as ritual spaces in ancient times.<\/p>\n

At the heart of the estate are the Cases de Son Real<\/strong>, an old Mallorcan possession that was an important agricultural and livestock center. Today, this restored architectural complex houses the Ethnological Museum<\/strong>, where visitors can learn about the history of the estate and the traditions of rural life in Mallorca, through tools, utensils and exhibitions about the agrarian world.
